The ten-year-old, which was treated to a hero’s breakfast of carrots and polo mints yesterday, won the race by two-and-a-quarter lengths in the second fastest time ever.
However there was a sting in the tail for jockey Jason Maguire after he was handed a five-day ban for excessive use of the whip.
