Deputy Montfort Tadier has lodged a proposition calling for special training days to be introduced for Members in a bid to cut down on long, rambling speeches in the Chamber and save money.
He estimates that it would cost up to £7,500 a year for all 53 Members to receive one day of training each and believes that it would save money in the long term, particularly when it comes to producing official transcripts of debates.
