In January the Royal Court ordered the Phone-In Trading Post Ltd to pay over £63,500 to Leeds United and file documents within five weeks to the Royal Court.

Mr Weston is a director of the Phone-In Trading Post, which traded under the name of Admatch.

The Bailiff, Michael Birt, sitting as a single judge, ruled in January that unless the court’s directions were followed, then the defendant’s case would be struck out and judgment granted to Leeds.

The court also refused to grant the defendant company controlled by Mr Weston leave to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.

But now an appeal against the Bailiff’s decision to refuse leave to appeal is expected to be made directly to the Court of Appeal by the Phone-In Trading Post.
