In the UK, there are plans to allow pubs to open until 1 am without getting special permission from local licensing authorities over the weekend of 30 April.
Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean – whose remit covers licensing – says that he plans to raise the matter with the Council of Ministers, partly because there might be knock-on effects on other departments.
