Well off their best for most of the match, Jersey still managed five tries to take a bonus point from their home victory, 31-15, over a dogged Canterbury in front of an 800-strong crowd.

That win, their fifth from the last six matches, maintains second place in the table (the sole promotion play-off spot), still five points behind leaders Ealing who also earned a maximum five points from a 27-0 home win over Southend – though they needed two tries in the closing minutes to secure a four-try bonus point.
