Since the launch of a major Jersey Side by Side disaster relief appeal on Christmas Eve to mark the first anniversary of the tragedy, hundreds have responded to requests for unwanted Christmas gifts.
In the first of a series of initiatives to raise money for the Help for Haiti campaign over the coming months, the charity asked people to donate their surplus presents to be sold at a special sale at Fort Regent on 22 January. Presents can be taken to parish halls.
