The Health department has confirmed that ten cases of swine flu have been identified in the last few weeks.
None of the infected Islanders have needed hospital treatment, but the department says that it is closely monitoring the situation.
Jersey’s acting Medical Officer of Health Dr Susan Turnbull has also repeated her advice that people in ‘at risk’ groups make sure that they get the vaccine for seasonal flu.
Particular high risk groups include those with chronic heart, lung, liver, kidney or neurological disease, those with asthma, diabetes or impaired immunity and pregnant women.
