Organisers are predicting that requests for help – which includes providing food, fuel and toy vouchers – will surpass the 1,500 families supported last year.
The appeal, which has been running for more than 100 years, will be launched on 25 November. Appeal chairman, Chris Clarke, of the Lions Club of Jersey, has sent out more than 750 letters to organisations and individuals seeking their help.
