The bonfires at Les Creux in St Brelade and the Farm House in St John, formerly the L’Auberge, were both set alight and had to be dealt with by the Fire and Rescue Service.
But the organisers say they will not be beaten by ‘mindless thugs’ and both bonfires will still go ahead this weekend.
Meanwhile, there is tight security at the site of the St Martin bonfire, including CCTV cameras, following last year’s torching of their bonfire.
