Earlier this year ministers asked Islanders for their views on four main options for raising £50 million in tax hikes.
The options included: raising GST by two per cent, increasing the Social Security ceiling to £115,000, tripling the rates contribution to the States and setting a new 30 per cent income tax rate on earnings over £100,000.
But the three month consultation, which received almost 1,000 responses, has failed to single out one clear option favoured by the public.
