Jersey in positive mood ahead of Muratti

Welsh is totally committed to his first Kleinwort Benson Muratti Vase final as team manager but he is keeping his cards close to his chest as to what his starting line up will be – though we now know it will not contain the top goalscorer in the Island Craig Leitch.

Welsh said ‘I’m not announcing the team to the public until Saturday. It’s been the easiest week ever for our physiotherapist and I’m confident that Jersey will get the right result. The vibes from the players are positive, we’ve had some excellent training sessions and everyone is ready to go out and do a job.’
