St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft is talking to contractors about building a stacking car park in the north of town where the St Thomas’ residential parking zone has recently been set up.
He said that the idea could be the solution to adding secure parking without taking up too much expensive space.
‘It is very clear is that there is not enough parking for residents, visitors, shoppers and people staying in hotels in that part of St Helier,’ said Mr Crowcroft.
