Competing for Great Britain they improved on their first race finish of 30th out of 35 finishers with 29th in the second race – a result which guarantees them a spot in January’s Junior World Championship in St Moritz.

The Jersey Bobsleigh Club members only had one day of training on the run after bad weather in Jersey delayed their departure.

Golder said: ‘Just one day training, a new bob, and a new season meant this was very much in at the deep end. But race one went quite well, we started quickly and my drive down was very smooth.’
