O’Sullivan’s highest ever ranking, she was eleventh a year ago, has come of the back of her recent success in winning the inaugural Great Britain National Series title at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire.

The top two ranked archers in the ladies’ Compound section are Nicky Hunt and Nichola Simpson respectively – the two archers Jersey’s 19-year-old former Beaulieu student and current Miss Battle of Flowers defeated in the latter stages of her National Series success.

Two other Jersey archers have made the GB rankings list in Gents Recurve, Jersey Archery Society’s Mike Coward’s first ever ranking is at 40 while Archers of Jersey bowman Geoff Hairon is at number 126. The 2009 rankings were released earlier this week.
