At Fort Regent, Optimus totalled 130 for three in their twelve overs after three batsmen finished unbeaten; Bradley Vautier, Nigel Crocker and Brant Duncan scoring 30, 27 and 25 respectively.
Farmers lost both openers cheaply, Peter German run out first ball of their reply and Dave Buxton falling soon after. Farmers suffered three run outs in total and they were not far away from stealing victory ending just short after being bowled out with three balls remaining.
James Perchard and Hannes Botha, the latter who earlier took two wickets for 22 runs in three overs, led Farmers’ fight back with 44 runs and 36 respectively.
