The Victoria College student will play for the Wessex Leopards at the Lilleshall camp, on 9-11 October, which aims to give players first hand experience of an international training camp environment in preparation for potential future involvement in a National Age Group Squad.
Players will receive high level coaching, led by England Hockey appointed coaches, and match play opportunities as well as attend workshops on topics such as anti-doping, injury management and nutrition.
Coach Shelagh Herbert said: ‘Tom is having an excellent season and is growing in confidence all the time. He was included in the Jersey squad for the Islands tournament and played in all four matches, marking an impressive Island debut.’
A number of other Jersey junior hockey players have also been travelling to the UK to attend age group assessments and JRPC sessions over the last few months including Will Millar (U15) as well as Robert Cuming, Finlay Hare, Max Gardener, Robert Corfe, Lucy Le Lievre, and Louise Mollet (all U16).
