Former members, some of whom are now in their 70s, attended the reunion, which took place last week at the All Saints headquarters.

Bernie Perrier, ex-patrol leader and organiser of the event, said that the evening went well and that members brought along a great collection of memorabilia.

‘We had lots of old pictures, the earliest dated from the 1940s. There were pictures of camps, jamborees, hikes and a selection of magazines,’ Bernie said.

‘Ron Laurens had the principal show of memorabilia – he was the youngest of the brothers of the original family that ran the troop. Lots of people hadn’t been back in the hall in 50 years,’ he said.

Several familiar faces attended the get-together, including Clarrie Corbel, who travelled over from New Zealand, his younger brother George from the UK and youngest brother Brian, who lives in Jersey.

Bernie says that they may consider running the re-union again next year, and if anyone wants to get in touch, they can call him on 854989.
