The project, which will be funded from the £44 million fiscal stimulus package, was sanctioned on Tuesday by Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf.
The work, between Rue de Galet and West Park, will cost £337,000. Uneven surfaces and cracking concrete will be repaired and drains updated.
It will begin after the International Air Display in a fortnight and be finished by mid-February 2010.
