And because of the question mark over the games programme the Jersey Football Association will not be making an immediate appointment for an Island team manager.
This follows on from the withrawal of Coca-Cola’s support to the Jersey Combination, the league organisation for club football.
Michael Wilde, the former chairman of Southampton Football Club, has decided that he will not be financially supporting the Jersey Football Association having already contributed £66,000 into the venture over the past two years.
JFA president Ricky Weir said: ‘We are losing our final year of sponsorship and obviously that is extremely disappointing. However it is not a complete surprise with what is happening in the financial world at present.’
