Seven years on, where are the promised toilets?
Share this:
From Brenda Laurence.
IN 2001, you published my letter about the lack of toilet facilities at the Waterfront. Nothing has changed.
A letter in response from Geoff Borman of the Waterfront Enterprise Board stated that we did not appreciate that the Waterfront was only in the early stages of development.
So what is different now? Seven years on, nothing has changed. There are still no toilets between the Harbour and the West Park end of the Waterfront. According to WEB, it was always the intention to make provision for public toilets in a more central and convenient position within the completed Waterfront. So what happened?
Will we ever see a completed waterfront which members of the public will be able to enjoy walking along and not worrying about the lack of toilet facilities?
