The Jersey Stroke Club is here to help people too

From Rosemary Bett.
I WAS delighted to read in the JEP that the Stroke Association has now established an official branch in Jersey, thus providing more help for stroke sufferers, especially for those with speech impairment.
We, at the Jersey Stroke Club, have for many years been offering a social afternoon for people who have had a stroke, and for their carers, and we meet in St Andrew’s Community Centre, First Tower.
There we have speakers, musicians, quiz games and so on to entertain our members, as well as several outings a year for lunch or to visit sites of interest.
Anyone interested in our work should contact me by telephone on 742491.
