GUERNSEY football is in danger of collapsing.

And it is likely that it will if its clubs fail to support the Guernsey Football Association’s National Game Strategy for 2008-2012.

The GFA board have threatened to resign en bloc if clubs do not support their plan – and if that happens Guernsey football would be in turmoil.

Clubs were told this week that on top of the board resigning, FA funding would soon be withdrawn, as would affiliation to the English FA – which would mean the Sarnians will be unable to play representative matches – including the annual Cimandis Muratti Vase.
