On this occasion not a ‘well done’ to the medal winners, although Jersey provided enough of them. No, well done to every Jersey competitor, coach and team manager who proved what a sporting lot of youngsters we have.
For the second time in a row, after Sicily in 2006, they won the Fair Play Trophy – a real team effort, to do so; for it only takes one stroppy youngster to give a class or a school or in this case an entire Island a bad name – as any teacher will willingly tell you.
