Hallmark is one business that has decided to absorb the tax instead of raising their prices.

John and Alison Baker, who own the four Hallmark stores in Jersey, have decided not to add the three per cent tax on their products because they do not agree with it.

Large signs in the windows of their shops in King Street, West’s Centre, Halkett Place and at Red Houses promise customers that shopping at Hallmark will be GST-free.
