Last year’s event was attended by hundreds of Islanders. It raised a tot-al of £11,350 towards rebuilding an earthquake-hit school in Kashmir.

As a result of its popularity, the joint venture between the community charity and the JEP is back for a second time and hopes to be bigger and better this year.

The event will be held on Saturday 17 May at Hautlieu School.

Collection bins for discs will be available at locations around the Island this week, including every local secondary school, the Education Department, the main post office in Broad Street and every parish hall.

The money raised from the sale will be put towards the building of a girls’ middle school in the Pakistan-controlled area of Kashmir.
