While St Brelade look to have the toughest task, at home to Coca-Cola Combination Division I leaders St Paul’s, Jersey Nomads and St Ouen will be eager to pull off giant-killing acts against struggling Jersey Wanderers and Grouville, respectively.

It is likely to be a difficult day for both Wanderers and Grouville, but a welcome relief from the relegation dog-fight.

Jersey Nomads are on a good run with just one defeat in their last eight games and first-team co-ordinator Adam Budworth says it would be a great day for the club if they could reach the last four for the first time.

Budworth said: ‘We’ve had a good run since previous manager Peter Herridge left; it was a blow to lose Peter and I think the players have responded well by pulling together since his departure.

‘We’ve been consistent on the pitch collectively and although we’ve had to use several reserve team players on occasions they have moved up and played well.

‘The FB Fields is a bit of a fortress for us at the moment, we’ve done quite well in the four or five games we’ve played there and hopefully it will continue today.

‘We’re also showing a lot of character too because having gone behind in a few games recently we’ve fought back again to gain some good results.

‘We looking forward to playing Wanderers; it will be a tough game and we’re using the possibility of having a game at Springfield in the semi-finals as our incentive.

‘It’s the only chance we will have to play there this season because we are out of the other cups; we also have a social event tonight so a win would make it an even better night for everyone.’

Wanderers will be no pushover, however, as they won 4-0 last time out against Grouville in Division I.

Grouville’s trip to St Ouen will also be a difficult one as the visitors have failed to score in nine of their 19 matches this season.

It’s a different story for the hosts as the free-scoring St Ouen have bagged 77 goals this season while only losing once in 22 games.

However, Grouville will be buoyed by the fact that the Saints have only kept four clean sheets in 14 matches.

First Tower host fellow top flight club Jersey Scottish in the remaining tie while the Combination Division I second-placed St Peter host third-placed Trinity.

A win for St Peter would put them top of the table for the first time this season while a Trinity success would move them up a place to second and just a point behind leaders St Paul’s on level games.

Kick-off at St Peter is 2.30 while the Le Riche cup matches all kick off at 2 pm.
