Jersey know that second-placed Hayward’s Heath are just a point behind them and itching for Jersey to lose their first game of the season.
‘Realistically it’s between us and them,’ said coach Barry George before training last night.
‘Chobham lost 15-0 to Tunbridge Wells last weekend so they’re already five points adrift.
After dropping one point out of 30 (Jersey drew with Sidcup a fortnight ago) it’s up to us to throw it away if we don’t get automatic promotion.
‘The crunch game will be against Hayward’s Heath in March, but they’ve a tough game of their own, against Old Colfeians away from home this weekend, so I’ll be looking for the result of that match, afterwards, with interest.’
