Both clubs won their respective semi-finals at a cold and windy Les Quennevais on Sunday morning, Wanderers 3-0 against St Brelade and the Saints 2-1 against First Tower.

Wanderers were kept at bay by some fine goalkeeping from Nick Ashley, who saved Jay Reid’s third-minute penalty kick together with making two other fine saves, but Ashley was left helpless as Wanderers scored three times in the closing 15 minutes – twice after excellent runs from Alex Gee and a cool side-foot finish from substitute Ciaran Cooper.

St Paul’s, who were beaten 5-4 on a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes and extra time in last year’s final, scored through Joey Guezeou and Luke McGlone against Tower with the La Hague Manor lads replying through Fabio Santos.

The final is at Springfield on Thursday 20 March, kick-off 7.30 pm.

Trinity also reached a final on Sunday – the under-16 Eric Amy Cup final after they won a penalty shoot-out 4-3 against holders Jersey Wanderers at Les Quennevais following a goal-less draw after 80 minutes and extra time.

Trinity will now meet either Grouville, St Paul’s or St Brelade in the final at Springfield on Thursday 28 February.
