Former Jersey College for Girls student Lisa Evans (28) won the contract with retail giant Nordstrom to illustrate their new children’s book Once Upon A Holiday after they spotted her work on her website.
The illustrator, who left Jersey in 1998, is the daughter of Paul Macdonald, managing director of Hepburns Insurance, and the late Sharon Evans from St Saviour.
Nordstrom has over 100 stores in America and employs more than 50,000 staff.
Once Upon A Holiday tells the story of Sophie, a lonely little girl who has moved from the city to the countryside and discovers that the moon has fallen out of the sky.
ude the girl pushing the moon into a cannon to try to shoot it back into the sky, are also being used for Nordstrom’s Christmas-themed decor, which includes window displays, ornaments, packaging and pyjamas.
