Playing in Division II for Centurions, Pretorious helped his side into joint top place after a three-wicket win against Lutea Mavericks.
Pretorius’s first victim was caught before he completed his treble by hitting the stumps with his next two deliveries.
Gez McKeever also took a couple of wickets as Mavericks were all out for 89.
Danny Bertram, 27 not out, and Darren Edwards, 25 not out, helped Centurions towards their winning target.
JUBRFC won their first Division II game of the season against Phoenix Knights.
Batting first JUBRFC scored 127 all out with Hugo Bishop scoring 41, Jon Mackintosh 30 not out and Ben Naylor 28.
Their total proved enough as they dismissed Phoenix for 79 to win by 48 runs.
Bishop took two wickets for 17 runs while the Knights’ leading scorers were Richard Miles and Tim Nelson with 43 and 20 respectively.
Jersey Post suffered their first defeat in Division III after they were beaten by three wickets by Caesareans Juniors.
Simeon Entwhistle, 27 not out, and Joe Mayes, 23 not out, took the Juniors over the finishing line after Jersey Post were all out for 84.
Alan Kennard and Dave Ward scored 25 each for Jersey Post while James Faudemer took two wickets for 14 runs for the winners.
Lillies Ladies were beaten by 28 runs by Walkovers B on Monday evening, but they are making good progress in their first season in the league.
The ladies were dismissed in 11.2 of their 12 overs for 85 runs, Amanda Corbette and Michele Learson batting well at the start and Gemma Dunning playing some textbook drives later on.
Learson also claimed two wickets for 30 runs, her wickets coming in three deliveries, as Walkovers B totalled 132 for two with Dan Cox and Paul Michel undefeated on 26 and 25 respectively.
Cox also returned the best bowling figures of the night with two wickets for five runs.
Other results, Div I: Rathbones OVs, 98 for 2 (Tom Minty 27 not out, Ward Jenner 20 no, Bobby Minty 23), beat Farmers, 95 for 5 (Jimmy Perchard 24, Charlie Perchard 33 not out), by four wickets.
Pentagon scratched to Jersey Seniors.
