The point lifted Portuguese into third place in the table while Rozel remain one position above the two relegation places.
Richard Russell scored all the Portuguese goals while junior Nick Bolton, Andy McCabe and substitute Dean Brennan were on target for the Rovers who came from a goal down to lead 2-1 and 3-2.
Rozel manager Roy Jeanne said: ‘I was pleased with the attitude of my players but very disappointed with the result.
It was two points lost rather than one gained and the three goals we conceded were down to poor defending.
‘We should have had the game won after just 25 minutes; we had numerous one on one chances with their goalkeeper but we were reckless with our finishing by failing to hit the target.
‘We’re in a bit of dog fight at the bottom of the table, had we taken the three points last night it would have given us a bit of breathing space.
‘It’s still a difficult time for us with virtually a team out injured, but our approach work was good and that was a pleasing aspect.’
Portuguese official Sergio Carolo said: ‘Rozel were far better than us, we were fortunate to get a point.
‘We were nowhere near our game, we have not played for four weeks and it showed.
Players train hard but there are so few games.
It needs looking into for next season because as well as big gaps now we then have four games in ten days after Christmas!
‘Richard Russell was brilliant last night, Rozel found it difficult to stop him and his second goal was a good one with an overhead kick on a near post.
‘Our attitude was good, we are in our first season up and things generally are going well.’
Russell’s first came off his shin following a corner while Rozel equalised before half time with first-year under-18 player Nick Bolton scoring his first for the first team after the Portuguese goalkeeper presented him with the ball 25 yards from goal.
Andy McCabe put Rozel 2-1 ahead following a good move before Portuguese, whose young substitutes Nelson Castro and Joao Antunes impressed, made it 2-2 with Russell’s near post finish.
Substitute Dean Brennan marked his first-team d?but with Rozel’s third, a left-foot cracker from 20 yards into a top corner.
Minutes later, with Rozel down to ten as Zito Gouveia was off receiving treatment, Russell completed his treble when scoring from an acute angle again at a near post.
