Marta Cichocka (30), from Biakystok in Poland, has worked at the Matisse salon for the last three years, and she passed her hairdressing exams at Highlands in April this year.
She will be presented with the award by the Island’s Lieutenant-Governor, Andrew Ridgway, on 27 November.
Miss Cichocka had previously completed two years at secretarial college in Poland but moved to Jersey in May 2001 after she came on holiday to visit a friend.
When she first came to Jersey she worked in a bar and restaurant, but after Poland joined the EU she decided to think about a career in hairdressing.
