Minister vows to fight for nursery equality

His attempt to amend the States Business Plan to provide free nursery care was defeated last month but he says that is not the end of the matter. A Scrutiny panel is currently investigating early years provision and invited the Minister to a hearing yesterday. He said: ‘The Council of Ministers agreed and approved the proposals in general but couldn’t find the funding to introduce it at the moment. I regard this as a very important subject for scrutiny.’
