The court heard that Louise Bracken-Smith (34) made between £80,000 and £100,000 from renting out the A-J property, at 6 Gorey Pier, St Martin, to more than four people since 2003. Crown Advocate Beverley Lacey recommended a fine of £11,500, but the Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, said that that was too low. Instead, he said a more appropriate fine was £25,000, plus £2,000 costs.
