Coutts, which is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, has renewed its sponsorship of a scheme which helps young volunteers get work experience at the Durrell wildlife park.
This is the second time that Coutts has sponsored the Young Conservationists and the money will pay for uniforms and equipment.
Trust education officer Jo Ward founded the teenage volunteer group to give young conservation enthusiasts work experience.
‘It’s very hard for young people to find jobs in conservation and work experience is critical in helping individuals stand out from the crowd,’ she said.
‘One girl from our last group of volunteers gained valuable experience at Durrell before securing a place at veterinary college.
