John is Graham’s comic creation who had his own award winning series The Shuttleworths on BBC Radio 4. In his spoof documentary, It’s Nice Up North, Graham stars as the versatile singer/organist John Shuttleworth who decides to test the popular theory that the further north you travel, the friendlier people will be. The sequel Southern Softies will be in a similar vein. ‘I’m on a quest to see if people are softer down south,’ explained Graham. ‘And and I’m looking forward to getting out and about and meeting the good people of Jersey’ he added, before setting off on a filming session at Durrell. Graham also has planned visits to the Albert Pier before heading for Guernsey, Sark and Alderney. He will be back next week for the screening of It’s Nice Up North, which is at the Arts Centre on Tuesday at 8 pm, followed by a question and answer session with Graham.
