Richard Kenworthy is the brain behind Locko Block, a building block which needs no cement and can be used to construct garden features, retaining walls and other small-scale building projects.
Mr Kenworthy has designed his blocks with gardeners and small-scale builders in mind and he is hoping that shoppers will not only watch his demonstration but also provide useful feedback that will help him take his invention to a wider market.
Since he was granted a patent for his idea three years ago he has been looking for a way to manufacture his invention, ideally by licensing the product to a UK manufacturing company.
Most recently he has enlisted the help of the States’ Economic Development Department who are providing ongoing support as well as an initial £1,000 innovation grant.
