Emergency talks on Syvret crisis

Senator Syvret’s isolation among ministerial colleagues has also deepened by the resignation of his number two – Assistant Health Minister Celia Scott Warren. With relations between Senator Syvret and his senior staff seemingly at breaking point, the Council of Ministers will meet on Thursday. Senator Walker is returning earlier than scheduled to chair the meeting, to which Senator Syvret will be invited. Deputy Scott Warren has served under the Senator as a Health committee member, then assistant minister, for almost eight years but says she can no longer support him.
