The vessel is believed to have hit a fender hard as she was being pulled by a tug at St Malo yesterday morning. Assistant Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean said that Jersey Harbours were compiling a full report that he expected would be handed to him later today. The damage sustained would appear to be well above the waterline, unlike that sustained when it hit Condor Express in St Helier Harbour recently. The vessel is still in service and sailing to schedule. Deputy Maclean said that the French port authorities were not treating the latest collision as an ‘official’ incident.
