This follows last week’s approval of the sale of the group to private equity consortium Sandpiper Bidco for £260 million.
The company was delisted from the London Stock Exchange last Tuesday.
The Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority approved the takeover prior to the shareholder meeting and concluded that although one of the purchasers – Duke Street Capital – has majority investments in companies selling similar products, including Burton Foods, this is not a threat to fair competition.
Up to 3,000 shareholders, many of whom initially acquired their shares in the Ann Street or Le Riche groups prior to the two merged to create the Channel Islands largest private-sector employer, will receive £1 per share.
