Coupled with second-placed Jersey Academicals losing, St John took the title to regain top flight status after a four-year absence.
St John captain Andy Richardson said: ‘It’s disappointing winning the title without playing but that’s been the story of the season, it’s been rain interrupted and it feels as if we’ve hardly played.

Richardson hit seven boundaries before retiring on 51 as Walkovers won by eight wickets at FB2.
St Helier moved up one place to fourth after Chris Searson also hit a half-century in a 14-run win against G4 Securicor at FB1.
Searson’s knock included three 4s and a six.
