Mother defends child services

Sarah Whelan says that the Island children’s services have become a second family since her son was diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). And she says that comments made by Senator Syvret ‘made her blood boil’. peaking this morning, the minister said that the vast majority of work done by the children’s services was excellent. He said that his concerns centred on a few specific cases, but extended to the ‘whole childcare and protection aparatus’, including work done by the police, the law officers and the judiciary who are responsible for the sentencing of paedophiles.
