Both clubs won on Saturday, the champions edging home by 16 runs against Springfield while Romerils had a more comfortable success winning by eight wickets against Caesareans at Les Quennevais.
Skipper Meek Patidar finished four runs short of a century in the champions’ win where Steve Carlyon supported with 57.
Simon Parker had an excellent match for Springfield taking six wickets for 40 runs in a seven-over spelling inclusive of two maidens.
Parker’s feat was match by SCF’s Jon Evans, six wickets for 30 runs in 5.4 overs.
Rich Robinson top-scored for Springfield with 56.
Ryan Driver and Pete Blackburn took three wickets apiece as Caesareans were dismissed for 133.
Romerils reached their target in 22.3 overs.
Tom Minty hit 86 runs while Lee Meloy and Sam Dewhurst both took four wickets in OVs’ win against St Ouen.
St Ouen 2nds and OVs 2nds will play in the Minor Cup final at Grainville on 2 September after both won low-scoring semi-finals yesterday, St Ouen on a very slow wicket at Les Quennevais.
