The law firm, which has its headquarters in Cayman, merged a year ago with Jersey firm Crills.

It celebrated the refurbishment of the former HSBC premises opposite the Royal Court building with after-work drinks and canapés.

Open for business The Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, said he was delighted to see that a law firm had moved back into Hill Street, the traditional legal quarter of town.

‘I was always rather sad to see so many moving away from the area to what were perceived as more appropriate and trendy places to be,’ he said, adding that there were now early signs of reinvigoration which he hoped would continue.
