The unions staged the first of a promised series of port blockades in St Malo this morning in protest at HD using ‘cheap foreign staff’. They have given an ultimatum to the company to ‘get its house in order’ by 15 June otherwise they will take more action. But the same unions say they will take no action against Condor Ferries. Meanwhile, a breakdown and a strike have caused chaos with HDFerries sailings today.
