The team consisted of engineer David Priddis, from Jersey, and three colleagues from Guernsey, Val Sexton, Vince de la Mare and Oliver Ward, and they took part in activities ranging from canoeing and mountain biking to code-cracking and engineering tasks.

Mr Priddis said: ‘I feel that the team worked together really well.

‘It would be nice to capitalise on this for next year and try for the top spot.
