The survey, which begins this week and will continue over a five-week period, will draw on the opinions and experiences of 750 employers who will be asked to take part in a 20-minute telephone interview focusing on the learning and training opportunities available in the Island.

The aim is to inform policies designed to close any gaps in skills development programmes.

Island employers are surveyed every three years so that data can be compiled on the size of the workforce and recruitment activity as well as on training.

The present survey is being undertaken by IFF Ltd, a leading research company specialising in employment issues which has more than a decade of experience of working in Jersey.
