Chamber prepares to greet a new president

Mr Keen, managing director of Jersey Dairy, will hand over to vice-president and retired banker Clive Spears.

Retail and supply committee chairman Ray Shead will be standing for vice-president.

In addition French liaison officer John King and legal adviser Wendy Benjamin will be seeking re-election, having completed their first three-year terms of office.

David Dodge, who has now served on the Chamber council for six consecutive years, will be standing down as chairman of the transport committee.

The report and accounts distributed this week show that the organisation made a pre-tax profit of £742 on income of £145,745 in the year to 28 February, owing to subscription income from new members and a modest subscription increase last year, as well as income from seminars.
