He said that he was pleased to be supporting the event for the first time. ‘I’m just thrilled to be taking part,’ he said. ‘It’s a great example of community spirit in the Island. ‘The Lions Club do wonderful work, and this is a great way for them to raise funds.’ His wife Valerie said: ‘Every-one is just so enthusiastic – it makes you feel like jumping in yourself! It’s an amazing way to raise money for such a worthy cause.’
