The 52-year-old man was arrested this morning. He has not been charged or named by the police, but is expected to be interviewed today. Police confirmed this morning that they had arrested someone regarding the allegations of malicious phone calls to the media which made false allegations about Senator Walker and his wife Fiona . On Monday, the couple went public to emphatically deny the rumours that Senator Walker had hit his wife of six months, that she had been hospitalised, or that he had been arrested or interviewed by the police.
